Head of Talent Acquisition

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Firesprite to lead our established, high performing Talent Acquisition team.
Based in Liverpool, the heart of the North West’s vibrant game development hub, Firesprite is an independent game developer working at the cutting edge of game development on the latest hardware platforms.
We’re the creators of our own original survival horror IP, “The Persistence”, released to critical acclaim for PlayStation VR in Summer 2018 and have also collaborated with many strategic partners on a wide range of high-profile projects including (but not limited to) “The Playroom”, “The Playroom VR” and “Run SackboyRun”.
We have ambitious plans for 2021 and beyond and are looking for talented people to join our studio as we embark upon this exciting new phase.
As Head of Talent Acquisition, you will be instrumental in providing leadership, support and direction to help achieve our ambitious plans for 2021 and beyond as we go through an exciting time of rapid company growth and development. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to play a pivotal part in the growth of our studio and development teams and continue to shape and evolve our Talent Acquisition Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and advise Talent Acquisition Specialists, Coordinators and Hiring Managers in the recruitment and selection process and guide them on best practices
- Work closely with the People Development Director to design and implement practices and strategic initiatives, including improving candidate experience, referral strategies and drives and DEI
- Maintain and develop effective relationships with recruitment agency partners
- Take an analytical approach to Talent Acquisition data and build this into recruitment strategy and areas of focus
- Represent and promote Firesprite at industry events, using the opportunity to network and interact with potential candidates, considering the Firesprite brand and reputation across every interaction
- Use and research new direct sourcing methods to recruit for Key/ Leadership roles and act as a trusted advisor for SLT
- Manage full cycle recruitment functions from job advertisement, sourcing, screening, offer negotiation, to the hiring of successful candidates
- Work closely with Marketing on recruitment campaigns, identifying when further support is required and develop creative ways to address Talent Acquisition challenges
Requirements
- Demonstrated management experience of leading a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists and Coordinators, including experience with developing team members and supporting career progression throughout the Talent Acquisition team
- Experience with full cycle recruiting within the Games Industry, including sourcing, screening and negotiating offers
- Experience using Recruitment Software (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter, Applicant Tracking Systems)
- Process orientated and have a great attention to detail
- Ability to adapt and react to a dynamic and changing environment
- A people focussed individual with a strong desire to provide a positive experience internally and externally
- In-house experience in a Games Studio
- Solid understanding of the Games industry and roles
