Head of People Partners

Your Mission:

The Head of People Partners will report to the VP, People and Talent and will partner with a peer group (Head of People Operations, Head of Architecture and Head of Talent) to deliver a holistic people strategy to the Improbable business. You will be responsible for ensuring we have a team in place to design and deliver divisional people plans that enable our businesses to deliver on their commitments. You will be the chief architect of our organizational structure and will be a true partner to our business leaders across the globe.
Responsibilities:
- The management and development of the People Partner team, ensuring the team has the capabilities and capacity needed to execute their duties whilst also providing functional input to our Operations and Architecture teams.
- The execution of organisational design and workforce planning within each business unit - ensuring that it aligns with the overall strategy as set by the CPO and key leadership
- The development of People Operations’ business partnering capability, including the development and delivery of business unit people plans.
- The successful delivery and optimisation of company wide initiatives into our business units i.e. the review process
- Ensuring the People team executes on the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy for all of our business units
- Ensuring organisational culture is exemplified within our business units
- Maintaining a full perspective of the business at all times, placing emphasis on employee relations, policies, and people management procedures in application across the business
- Identifying potential risks for the business and mitigating against those risks
- Identifying the people metrics that we should provide our business units and for the ownership of our engagement platform.
We'd like to hear from you if you identify with the following:
- Significant HR knowledge and experience, possibly within a technology focused organisation or fast growing environment, including experience business partnering directly with senior stakeholders who are accountable for or heavily invested in the success of People initiatives.
- Significant experience leading organisation design, change management and workforce planning, including the program management of re-organisations and associated communications, and the design of career paths and assessment methods.
- Experience managing and developing an international team of people professionals, preferably in a rapidly scaling business where policies, processes and skills may need to be developed as demand on the team grows.
- Track record delivering in a fast moving, dynamic environment where things can change quickly and the right solution to a problem is often ambiguous.
- Comfortable acting as a coach, line manager and advisor to employees at all levels of the business on People related issues.
- Significant experience in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters, including complex employee relations cases, with the ability and confidence to act as an escalation point or coach to others who may be managing those sensitive cases first hand.
- Analytical with the ability to gather and interpret data, but not afraid to make decisions based on logic or gut.
