Head of Marketing (Guild of Guardians)

A bit about the role:
We are looking for a Head of Marketing to lead the marketing department for Guild of Guardians in our next phase of growth!
Your mission is to build the Guild of Guardians player base and community to a million players, and then a hundred million. You will have the opportunity to hire and develop a marketing team, craft the brand narrative, ‘break out of the noise’, foster a community of evangelists, and create viral user acquisition and growth.
Guild of Guardians is made for players who want games to be more than just entertainment and is a free-to-play mobile RPG where players can turn their gaming passion into assets. We’re a rapidly growing team with a massive player community, significant funding, and a strong core team, and we’re in the perfect position to disrupt the gaming industry!
You will have the opportunity to:
- Develop a deep and constantly updated understanding of our unique crypto and gaming audiences
- Designing the marketing strategy, narrative and roadmap for Guild of Guardians
- Growing the marketing team by hiring key team members or sourcing 3rd party support, in particular those focused on acquiring new players
- Managing, coaching and developing talent within the marketing team
- Planning and executing marketing strategies and campaigns to deliver outsized results
- Building and improving the marketing ‘processes’ which determine ‘how’ the marketing team works together
- Evaluating and experimenting with new marketing channels and approaches
- Creating content to communicate the brand story and narrative for Guild of Guardians, and being able to voice this publicly in AMAs, press or in interviews
You’ll have:
- A deep understanding and experience in marketing to mainstream gamers
- Believes in the potential of NFTs to disrupt gaming and in the concept of ‘play and earn’
- Wants to lead and grow a marketing team for a rocket-ship game
- Is a leader that can inspire out of the box thinking to build a global brand narrative, viral campaigns and break out above the noise
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
- Prior experience with blockchain or gaming
- NOTE: You do not need prior experience with blockchain AND gaming, although you must have the desire and capability to rapidly upskill and “get” this space.
