Head of International Tax and Transfer PricingSummary
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Tax, you will have primary responsibility for the group’s transfer pricing arrangements, as well as taking a lead role on all material international tax projects, including M&A support to the business.
This is a key leadership role in the Group Tax team, and you will work with the broader Group Finance, Treasury, Legal and Strategy teams to help drive the Group Tax department’s strategic agenda across the organisation, with access to C-Suite executives.
The role may require some travel to ensure proper and timely execution of Aristocrat’s key tax initiatives.What you'll do
- Lead tax authority engagements in respect of material transfer pricing matters, including advanced pricing agreements.
- Manage large/strategic tax projects so that critical milestones are achieved and so that such projects are implemented properly, efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for assessing, redesigning and implementing a global transfer pricing policy and documentation framework, including operational aspects (i.e. ERP transactions flows and controls).
- Ensuring all international transfer pricing reporting requirements are met across the group.
- Engagement with Aristocrat’s external tax advisors.
- Technical training to other members of the Aristocrat Group Tax team.
- Assist Aristocrat in understanding all relevant domestic and international tax implications associated with M&A activity undertaken by the group, including integration.
- Assist Global Head of Tax in developing structures and strategies that are aligned to the ethos of “Justified Trust” whilst balancing our responsibility to maximizing returns to shareholders.
- Assist Global Head of Tax in strategic communications with the ATO and, where required, other tax authorities.
- To the extent required, assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasting and cash distribution/repatriation strategies.
- Preparation of relevant materials for presentation to executives / Board and committees.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar.
- Law Degree / other tertiary legal qualification desirable but not essential.
- ACA, CPA or Bar Association membership preferred.
- Experience in dealing with ASX listed companies that have overseas operations and subsidiaries.
- Ten years of related experience with at least 5 years in public accounting firm with a successful track record.
- A solid understanding of international tax principles and significant experience in this field (including CFCs, IP and supply-chain taxation, and transfer pricing) as well as experience with tax-effect accounting.
