Head of Human Resources

Turtle Rock Studios is looking for an experienced Head of Human Resources to join the team and help spearhead, build and implement HR projects and initiatives across the studios. This person will support our employees and help improve areas of the studio as we continue to grow and will play an important part in helping with the growth of the studio as well as create a positive environment where we are cultivating top talent and creating high caliber AAA games.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR initiatives and strategies company wide (Recruitment, performance management, management training, compensation, benefits, employee development, communication, etc)
- Work with the team to improve organizational effectiveness, development and help create solutions company wide
- Bring new and visionary ideas towards managing at scale in a creative environment while maintaining the company’s culture
- Create a learning and development strategy that gives employees a clear roadmap for professional growth and development
- Provide guidance regarding employee relations matters and policy development
- Ensure all federal, state and local labor law compliance in partnership with legal partners
Requirements
- At least 5 years of working in HR in a leadership role
- Understanding of various HR practices and strategy and able to assess and adapt when necessary
- Experience in developing management and leadership training programs
Preferences
- Experience working in both large and smaller high growth organizations
- Experience working in a AAA game development studio
- Experience in scaling a company to hundreds of employees
- Masters in Human Resource Management
