Head of Growth

Discord is looking for a highly technical, creative, hands-on and mission-driven Head of Growth with experience in the social media space. This leadership role will oversee user growth and retention; create the product roadmap, and create meaningful products that exceed goals and bring joy to our users. You will report directly to one of the co-founders and directly influence the future of Discord.

What you'll be doing
- Build and lead a cross-functional growth organization by partnering with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Marketing.
- Hire and grow engaged product managers by coaching and instilling a sense of ownership and impact.
- Determine Discord’s product growth strategy from acquisition to activation, using both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Manage processes and use your expertise to continually improve the team and ensure your team achieves extraordinary results.
- Partner with marketing on acquisition strategies across all channels, including organic, paid and referrals.
- Partner with Finance and Data Science to develop models to forecast predictable growth outcomes.
What you should have
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven track record building an inspired cross-functional growth organization within a social product.
- True passion for leading teams and growing product managers.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, excited about figuring out solutions to complex problems, and then executing on them.
- Strategic first principles thinker that can work with others to find practical solutions.
- Strong product sense and take pride in understanding your customers.
- Analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to problem solving.
