Head of FP&A

Miniclip has grown substantially over the last few years; not just in terms of revenues and headcount, but also in complexity as the company has combined organic growth with M&A activity. To support our ambitious growth strategy, we are creating a new role of Head of FP&A to lead our FP&A team and move our reporting analytics and business partnering capabilities to the next level.

Reporting to the Director of Finance , this role offers exposure to Executives and studio heads , and the opportunity to help shape , not only the FP&A department, but input into the future of the business itself. The intention is to build a best-in-class FP&A team that can not only inform decision making, but actively contribute to those decisions. The candidate will need to be driven, passionate, and able to adapt in a high paced and dynamic industry .

  • Understand cross-functional priorities, plans and objectives
  • Can identify trends and patterns in large data sets and translate them into meaningful insights
  • Strong team leader able to identify, retain and develop talent
  • Innovative and able to find new ways to look at, analyse and present data to drive the business forward
  • Capable of designing and implementing new ways o f working, new analytics and reporting functionalities across the entire organisation
  • Problem solver who can generate multiple options and identify the most effective solution
  • Gaming experience, preferably in mobile sector , with a good understanding of the business model and core KPIS
  • Strong presenter and facilitator

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate and run trading meetings for Miniclip studios
  • Set analysis requirements and follow up on action points from meetings
  • Review and sign off decks for trading meetings
  • Review and sign off weekly outturn reforecasts, developing the monthly updating of OPEX forecasts
  • Manage annual budgeting cycle and ensure strategic priorities of the business are reflected
  • Develop and deliver OPEX review process , including challenging ROIs on key costs
  • M&A accountability for production of business plan, and target value due diligence
  • Lead integration process for M&A transactions in conjunction with accounting team
  • Review of commercial publishing contracts, highlighting any risks or deviation from normal process
  • Input and reviews to increases of UA budgets
  • Analysis and challenge of UA performance, particularly on new releases
  • Manage a growing FP&A team, currently three people with two direct reports , on day to day operations

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional with between five and ten years PQE , with the majority of that time spent in commercial facing finance roles.

Other qualifications include:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experienced team leadership
  • Ability to coach and develop junior staff to enhance the teams skillset
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience of Domo or other business intelligence/database software
