The Role
We are looking for a Head of External Communications to help build the team that defines and owns our relationship with the global audience. This position will unite our gaming and developer community as our studios and games evolve in the hands of our consumers. This role will help tailor the overall Probably Monsters Studios narrative for external audiences, advancing the corporate brand and establishing our position in the gaming industry. This role reports to the Vice President, Global Marketing and is part of the cross-functional marketing group spanning Product Marketing, Strategy and Analysis, Brand Marketing, External Communications, and Creative Services for the ProbablyMonsters brands and teams globally.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement integrated omnichannel communications campaigns for all our brands covering both corporate communications and product communications.
- Craft a team of communication professionals across earned media, social media, community, influencer, and event disciplines.
- Lead teams and agencies to deliver communications strategies, plans, and activities that engage key audiences.
- Coach executives and other spokespeople across the company and lead the studio’s speaking engagement strategy across industry events.
- Build a strategy that will allow studios to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences including influencers and community.
- Manage the communications roadmap based on relevant product plans and industry events.
- Craft globally resonant narratives for all studios, brands, and products to their intended audiences over all earned and owned channels.
- Create breakthrough earned media strategies and activation frameworks to build awareness and affinity, elevate equity, engage new players, and inspire loyalty.
- Set clear goals and measurements for all external communication initiatives.
- Establish strategic media relations and PR plans, including crisis communications.
- Coordinate communications initiatives with other cross-functional activities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in PR and Communications on the corporate level, preferably in a video game company or public relations agency, including 5+ years of people management.
- Proven ability to manage and gain alignment across highly complex and matrix organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to align with the company’s and departments’ initiative.
- Strong understanding of communications, PR, and social media networks globally
