Head of Data Analytics

Volley develops voice-controlled games and entertainment apps for Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Our voice apps are world-class and attract millions of users every month. We’re a 45-person team based in San Francisco.

We believe voice control will be the main way people access entertainment in their bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and cars, and our goal is to build a destination for interactive audio entertainment, as Netflix did for television.
What you’ll do
- Report directly to the CTO and become a key advocate for data-driven decision making within the company
- Work across a portfolio of games and entertainment products used by millions of people each month
- Manage 2-3 Data Analysts, while prioritizing the wellness and work-life balance of your team
- Own and manage a cross-product, standardized, events taxonomy that can be integrated across a range of voice-controlled applications running on shared infrastructure
- Increase the internal visibility of company KPIs and success metrics
- Support Volley’s growth by investing in scalable data analysis and experimentation tools
- Build processes to uncover key data-supported, deep-dive insights that could have a dramatic impact on Volley’s business and growth trajectory
- Collaborate with UX experts, designers, and engineers to deliver best-in-class voice-controlled products
- Collaborate with our People team to recruit and hire talented Data Analysts to join your team

- Worked on consumer-facing mobile or web apps at scale
- Helped to establish a culture of using data to drive decisions in an organization
- Worked with audio, voice, or other emerging consumer technologies
