As we expand our vision for learning to a larger set of use cases and audiences, we are in need of leaders to lead and expand the teams and its capabilities. Our Head of Computer Vision and Machine Learning will be responsible for leading a talented team in researching, developing, and optimizing new algorithms for 2D object detection, object recognition, hand tracking, pattern matching, and hand-drawing analysis.
Computer vision in the real world is hard, in particular on mobile devices. But it is core to the magic of Osmo, bridging physical and virtual worlds. You will be a crucial part of new product development as well as maintenance of a platform that serves millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a world-class Computer Vision and AI platform
- Participate in the creation of new devices, products and games based on that platform
- Collaborate with business and product leaders to expand new use cases and audiences
- Optimize software to run in real time on multiple computing platforms
- Build tools and distributed software to automatically gather user stats to improve vision algorithms
- Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team with multiple global offices
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or foreign equivalent
- Five years of software engineering experience
- Experience as a systems architect for scalable and maintainable software design
- Five years of computer vision and/or machine learning experience
- Proficient in C++ and Python code
