We are looking for an experienced and talented Director of Community. This newly established position will be responsible for all community & social channels (including websites and newsletters) across the full Bossa Studios portfolio, and lead the team responsible for these efforts.
We desire a strategic thinker with deep experience in building and nurturing highly engaged communities; someone who understands how to drive growth and build strategies tailored uniquely for our games. We believe that being open about how we make our games is critical for this, and this role would work cross functionally to define a unique approach to open development.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a serious passion for games and internet culture, and who is excited by the challenge of shaping how the studio builds thriving communities around its games moving forward.
Responsibilities:
- Own the strategic planning, production and execution of all community activities and social initiatives for all products, as well as the Bossa Brand
- Work very closely with the brand marketing lead, product, production and development stakeholders to regularly align on key messages for each game; determine how and where to best communicate these to the communities to drive growth and engagement.
- Drive the work of a cross functional team to define and plan a new approach to open development efforts; execute plans and act act as the driving force for these efforts
- Act as the central liaison between the player community and internal stakeholders, effectively gathering useful feedback and providing sentiment analysis. Ensure player- facing issues surfaced to CS are escalated appropriately and with the correct level of urgency.
- Develop an elite team around you to build a reputation for best in class community engagement
- Devise and develop a CRM strategy to support with the management of our community
- Analyse and communicate community growth and engagement, creating and presenting regular reports that address KPIs, key learnings & insights, and offer informed recommendations for future improvement. Demonstrate how strategy and activities are contributing to ROI and growth.
- Identify and devise social opportunities to help elevate brand and products on an ongoing basis, by quickly reacting to global news stories, pop cultural happenings and industry affairs.
Requirements
- Deep experience and insights on creating, growing and engaging with communities
- A strong track record of driving commercial results through their work
- A thorough knowledge of social & community platforms and tools
- Track record in successfully managing third party agencies
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills
- Proven track record of success in a similar position, preferably in a games publisher, studio or agency
