At Keywords Engage Services (Marketing & Player Support), we bring together a variety of experts and specialist disciplines from our global network of studios into an end-to-end marketing solution that supercharges decision-making in today’s complex entertainment landscape.
We deliver tailored marketing campaigns, brand development, Go-to-Market strategies, video production, in-game capture, in-engine cinematics, and much more to key video game developers and publishers, contributing to the launch of hundreds of game titles a year!
We are now looking to hire the Head of Client Services to play a lead role in the Engage Service Line focusing on commercial opportunities, both short and long-term.
Here you will partner with the Global Sales team, clients and studios to fully leverage the skills and ambitions of the service line and the wider network, and in turn capture revenue opportunities and build lasting client partnerships.
Key Responsabilities:
- Contribute to the global revenue target for Engage, ensuring all commercial opportunities are thoroughly investigated and attended to, with a focus on significant cross-studio opportunities
- Help to define the ‘proposition’ for Engage and tailor this to different audiences (Global Sales team, studios, clients, Keywords Executives, etc). Lead the creation of collateral to sell the proposition.
- Develop a sales and client services strategy for the service line, in conjunction with Global Sales team and service line leadership – with a particular focus on growth and long-term client partnerships for key clients
- Work with the Solutions team to create innovative commercial solutions, in order to answer client needs/briefs and win work
- Work with studios to understand their capacities, pricing, workflows, pipeline, etc on an ongoing basis in order to tailor the most effective client and project solutions
- Partner with Sales and Solutions teams (and others) across the wider business and Keywords Service Lines - Globalise, Create, etc – in order to tailor multi-service solutions for opportunities when necessary
- Partner closely with Global Sales to ensure opportunities via that team are maximised and qualified appropriately. Ensure there is a well-structured relationship and workflow between the Service Line, Solutions team and Global Sales
- Work with studios and the Solutions team to create pitches, materials and decks, making sure they are of the highest quality and relevance. Leverage your experience to ‘own’ the quality control of these efforts
- Ensure service line revenue forecasting is accurate and up to date, reporting on key metrics through monthly and quarterly reports
- Ensure deals signed at a service line level are well qualified, compatible with revenue & margin targets and have thorough execution plans / solutions in place
- Manage the Engage elements of the Keywords marketing programme in conjunction with Global Marketing and Global Sales
- Represent Engage at industry events globally – focusing on client awareness, engagement and business development. This will involve regular national and international travel.
Requirements
- Significant senior management level experience in a client services and/or sales and/or account management role in a marketing environment, ideally in a creative agency or production company set up
- Significant people and client management experience
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills – internal and external stakeholders
- A strong understanding of financial processes and commercial operations
- Significant experience in building sales and account management strategies at an agency and group level
- Good project management and solutions experience
- A highly organised, structured approach to work
- Excellent communication, both written and spoken, including strong presentation skills
- Able to manage others and delegate up & down when necessary
- Agile and initiative-based thinking
- Works well under pressure and can manage multiple projects / priorities
