We are looking for a H ead of Biz Dev (m/f/d) who can lead, train and drive our passionate biz dev team to the next level and beyond. You will report to the CEO and your primary responsibility will be to guide, mentor, and facilitate our sales troupers, so they can utilize their full capacity to find & negotiate the best matches for our family studios to pursue their passion! Being the mothership of Europe’s major family of game developers with currently 15 studios and more than 400 industry professionals, we help to empower game makers to create immersive games & experiences like Angry Birds Epic & Evolution, the Bus Simulator series, and many more.

Your accountabilities will include:
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities to a team of currently 4 business development professionals
- Plan targets and goals in line with business development strategies.
- Consult the developers of the rcp Family on how to expand their business and how to create new opportunities
- Customer relationship and stakeholder management (clients, partners, rcp developers)
- Visit trade shows, conventions, and matchmaking events on behalf of rcp and the development studios
- Gather intelligence on industry and market trends from public and network resources
- Business development for the rcp “family of developers“ with a strong focus on sales
Who are we looking for:
- Someone with the willingness to switch roles from rainmaker to facilitator
- You have at least 5 years of experience or even +10 years (or you were extra fast 🙂 with dealmaking (esp. closing & negotiating) in the entertainment industry or startups of a similar nature
- At least 2 years of experience in leadership and mentoring & coaching individuals and/or teams
- Understanding the games industry’s key players, trends, business models
- Business creativity (having an eye for pot. opportunities, developing them on the spot)
- You have a “get things done” attitude, and the ability to work self-directed & reliably on multiple topics
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and translate into an actionable plan
- Identify, negotiate and lead business development initiatives
- You are highly motivated, flexible and a team player – able to support others as well as let others support you just the same
- You love playing games and/or understand some other form of nerd culture
You can already call yourself Kyoshi if
- You speak several languages and/or have lived in different countries
- You are experienced working with all kinds of people from various cultural backgrounds
- You led or co-led a studio and/or have been part of a similar entrepreneurial experience
- You are familiar with radical candor, various styles of leadership, and experience with OKR systems
