Head of Analytics (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Head of Analytics (f/m/d) to create our new analytics department and manage our team of analysts, engineers and user researchers. You will be in charge of providing actionable insights for multiple departments. Your function includes Business Intelligence, Game Intelligence as well as People Analytics. You will work with your team and other disciplines to implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights. In this role, we expect you to have strong logical reasoning skills, understanding of video games and related business models. The ability to communicate effectively is essential. If you also have 5+ years of experience working with video games, we’d like to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and other department needs and objectives
• Build our analytic department by hiring and managing a cross-functional team of experts
• Develop strategies and prioritize the use of data analytics and reporting
• Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources
• Select, configure and implement analytics solutions
• Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
• Extract reports from multiple sources (e.g. operations, IT, customer feedback)
• Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights
• Apply game industry knowledge to constantly monitor the live operation of the game and improve the performance of the product and service with the delivery of data-informed suggestions and actions

• Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
• Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications
• Define security and backup procedures

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in the Game Industry.
• Experience with Acquisition, Retention and Monetization funnels
• Experience with both Business and Game Intelligence requirements and methodologies
• Solid experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
• Background in market research and project management
• Knowledge of Excel, R and SQL; familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, SAS)
• Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities
• Problem-solving mindset
