The Delivery head will manage the day-to-day operations, leading multiple teams in India comprising of Software Developers, Test Engineers and Automation Engineers. The person will work closely with global stakeholders to work on both Strategic and Tactical levels while guiding the delivery of projects throughout their life cycle.What You'll Do
- Lead the development effort while coordinating with various stakeholders like Project Manager, Product Manager, Creative Leads, Software Engineers and Test Leads across India and US.
- Setup development and quality processes. Regularly monitor and improve the timeliness, productivity, and quality of deliverables.
- Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.
- Participate in planning activities - Identify dependencies and follow up to their resolution. Identify and raise risks in a timely manner and take necessary action to mitigate the same.
- Ensure timely deliveries with agreed quality of all the tasks undertaken by the team.
- Participate in Hiring and onboarding of new members of the team.
- Provide feedback and coaching to team members through regular communication and performance appraisals to maintain a culture of high-performance energetic team.
- Identify Training needs of the team and to execute the training plan to constantly enhance the skill levels of the team.
- Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization or to accomplish business goals.
- Manage the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 15 years’ experience; At least 10 years’ experience in Software Engineering with strong knowledge of OOPS concepts.
- Strong experience in SDLC / Agile Methodologies.
- Experience building and managing scalable technical delivery teams.
- Expertise in the full software/project life cycle, including specifications, requirements analysis, design/architecture, implementation, testing, automation, continuous integration/deployment, and maintenance
- Prior development experience with C++ and/or C# on linux or windows operating system
- Experience with SVN / Github / Perforce or other configuration management systems
- Experience with JIRA or other defect tracking system
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
