OVERVIEW:
The HR Specialist is a member of the team to support processes and procedures that drive recruiting efforts to support business goals, life-cycle human resources assistance for all employees and assist with employees training goals and career development. Must be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, and willing to learn from a hardworking and diverse team around them. Reports to the Human Resources Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a point of contact and provide excellent customer service to all employees
- Respond to employee inquires via email, Slack, and/or face-to-face
- Build and handle various HR reports and metrics using Workday and Greenhouse
- Build/update job descriptions and job postings to ensure the role’s key accountabilities, core proficiencies, and educational requirements are accurate
- Recruitment & New Hire Process: Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; supporting hiring managers; and administering relocations
- Create and administer new hire orientation for all employees with direction from the HR Manager
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, GDPR compliance, implementing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting annual interview training with direction from the HR Manager
- Administer and support Payroll to include reviewing timecards and project assignments, benefit calculations with outsourced vendor, and leaves of absence
- HRIS and File Management: Maintain current electronic employee files, create requisitions and new hires in Workday, while updating employment status and personal records when required, administer termination paperwork, exit interviews, and completing separations in Workday
- Training: Assists with preparing and administering various training programs, contacts attendees and department representatives about training programs to include Outlook meeting scheduling and attendance
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations and conferences.
- Support various Human Resources projects and programs as needed
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to connect with all employees, trainers from other locations/companies, professional training group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent digital literacy
- Extensive experience with MS Office, Google Suite, Workday, Zoom and an ATS (Greenhouse)
- Able to read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and diligently capture and analyze information
- Proven track record to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to assess work for quality
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in HR, business, legal, computer science, or/and psychology
- 3+ years related HR and recruiting support
- Must have strong written and verbal English and Spanish language communications, C1 level or higher
- Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding all HR and Employee information
- Prior experience with an ATS like Greenhouse, Workday or Taleo; and experience with a HRIS; preferably Workday
- Outstanding interpersonal skills: must display patience, humor, and helpfulness at all times
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills: accuracy is crucial
- Handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Dedication, teamwork and professionalism
- The ability to be successful in high pressure situations and deal with ambiguity
- Must reside in or around Madrid; willing to relocate
- This role works in the studio and not available for remote or work from home
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional HR Certification
- International recruiting experience
- Interest and knowledge of video games and game development
