Job Description
As a human resources partner, you'll act as an advisor to Ubi Sherbrooke’s managers and employees. You'll optimize the management of human resources plus contribute to maintaining a favourable work environment to encourage team development and support departmental goals.
What you’ll do
Help develop and maintain the studio’s strategic vision
- Support managers in applying human resources strategies aligned with the organizational vision and team objectives + collaborate with managers to create an innovative and inclusive work environment.
- Act as a facilitator in change management.
- Ensure a smooth flow of information from management to their teams.
Perform daily HR operations
- Coach and accompany managers on various aspects of the daily HR management of their teams (performance reviews, work relationships management, etc.) + step in and guide managers in conflict situations.
- Ensure that HR practices comply with employment laws and regulations.
- Deploy, communicate, and apply global compensation practices within teams (bonuses, promotions, etc.).
- Advise and represent the team in the annual salary review process.
- Coordinate annual performance reviews.
- Partner with HR experts to implement programs and set objectives.
Support management teams
- Participate in hiring interviews for management team members.
- Clarify job roles and responsibilities as needed + define new jobs.
- Intervene in the resolution of complex problems + propose proactive approaches and possible solutions to management issues.
- Help production and/or management in identifying key talent + contribute to creating development plans.
Ensure harmony among teams
- Facilitate the integration of new employees into the teams + participate, alongside managers, in fostering a sense of belonging.
- Coordinate and support the ongoing development and career evolution of team members.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Around 5 years of experience in human resources (or other relevant experience)
- In-depth knowledge of Quebec’s Act on labour standards (Employment Standards Act)
- A degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources (or related training)
- A client-oriented mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in conflict resolution and working in constantly evolving environments
- Adaptability
- Creativity and innovation in problem-solving
