HR Operations and Systems Specialist

Riot’s People team exists to help Rioters make better decisions around its talent. We bring our expertise to all of those typical HR activities such as hiring, on-boarding, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, benefits, perks, compensation, big events, labor relations, off-boarding so that all Rioters can flourish.
The HR Operations team oversees and administers personnel actions to ensure compliant record keeping for all employment records. HR Operations coordinates, collaborates, and supports the People Team and the entire Rioter Lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding to ensure prompt processing.
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the HR Operations and Systems Specialist will help oversee project management of complex HR projects, and ensure adherence to project schedules. You will support all aspects of Rioter data changes to ensure accurate processing, help promote an environment of continuous improvement within our business, and improve documentation and efficiency of our processes. You will collaborate with partners throughout the business to ensure compliance and data integrity. You will also find opportunities for process enhancement, efficiencies, craft development, and play an active role in overall HR Operations team health.
Responsibilities:
- Work with HR Operations Manager to review projects and understand opportunities to refine internal processes
- Provide high-level expertise of Rioter data within HR systems, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and all other applicable changes to personnel data
- Partner with HR leadership to understand business issues and help develop solutions to support HR goals
- Assist with Rioter communication plans; updating records; managing, tracking, processing and compiling confidential data
- Coordinate the implementation of position management processes to release positions for hire
- Perform audits to ensure data integrity in HR Systems and information is accurate for processing transactions
- Serve as the point of contact for all document management activities, in congruence with the company document management strategy and retention policy
- Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9; periodically audit Form I-9s
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years as an HR Specialist or similar role
- 2+ years experience with Workday
- Experience supporting HR projects
- Background collaborating with a variety of departments (Legal, IT, Finance, Facilities, etc.)
- Ability to resolve customer issues and understand opportunities for efficiency
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Workday module implementations
