HR Operations Specialist

We need you to identify, recommend, and lead automation and process improvement in the area of compliance and the employee experience. We want our employees to find it “easy” to work at Unity and some of that will be a result of this role. This role reports to the HR Operations Manager, Americas.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating a great employee experience, including ensuring employees have relevant information in a timely manner, hosting for new hires’ first day, ensuring accurate employee records/documentation, background checks, I-9 compliance, etc.
- Coordinate off-boarding process. Create and manage employee files and other applicable documentation to ensure compliance with federal and state laws
- Maintenance of HR systems and tools to ensure accuracy of employee data while managing employment verifications and related letters for employees as needed. Perform regular audits and follow up with employees to ensure that required documents are submitted and filed.
- Provide day-to-day support to employees and business partners, answering questions and making it easy to work at Unity
- Identify, create/build, maintain and implement HR Ops processes to help scale and optimize
- Participate in system testing and communication planning for HR Operations related program rollouts, new systems and processes
- Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders on employee facing processes to build an outstanding employee experience: IT, Finance, Payroll, Recruiting, and Workplace Experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with previous HR experience
- Knowledge of domestic employment compliance and experience with HR Systems
- Proven ability to find creative solutions, organize, summarize, clarify, and communicate ideas simply, succinctly, and accurately
- Highly detail oriented and organized, able to maintain confidential information
- Focused on quality over speed, but responsive and understand a sense of urgency
