Rockstar North is growing its HR team and is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced HR Operations Advisor who will play a critical role in developing and delivering operational HR guidance and support to the studio. We are looking for someone who is keen to enhance their skills and experience within a diverse and varied HR role.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Edinburgh.
WHAT WE DO
- The HR team is responsible for providing an inclusive, supportive and safe working environment for the Studio.
- We provide professional support and advisory services to managers and employees on all HR issues.
- We ensure the Studio is compliant with all relevant employment legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a key point of contact for operational HR queries.
- Support the internal moves and company transfers including any immigration requirements.
- Support the maintenance and implementation of the Company employee benefits program.
- Work alongside the payroll function, preparing the monthly payroll requirements.
- Support the maintenance and drive processes through Rockstar’s HRIS (Workday).
- Alongside the HR Manager, manage and drive operational HR related ad hoc projects and initiatives.
- Work with our other Rockstar Studios to ensure a collaborative approach to our HR policies and practices.
- Provide management information reporting to Senior Directors on HR related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree educated with an HR related discipline (or similar).
- CIPD qualified.
- Previous experience working at advisory level.
- Excellent understanding of current employment legislation and knowledge of immigration legislation.
SKILLS
- Ability to be self-motivated and pro-active.
- Ability to problem-solve and effectively communicate decision at a senior level.
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Prior experience working with HR information systems.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Effective time management with ability to shift priorities when needed.
- Proficient with Excel and the capability to produce reports and analyze trends in data.

- Previous HR experience within the Creative Industries – video games, film, television, music – would be beneficial.
