Job Description
As an HR Manager at Gameloft Brisbane, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary global team providing value-added HR programs, support, and advice that enable the development teams to create industry leading products. You will work closely with the Studio Manager and the Studio Leadership team to deliver expert HR advice and support across all aspects of HR.
Your duties as HR Manager will include but are not limited to:
- Setting the HR agenda, working in partnership with the Leadership team to identify and facilitate effective consistent people management strategies as well as driving engagement.
- Providing high-quality confidential HR advice to the leadership team across the studio, mostly relating to legislation, company policies & procedures, performance management, HR grievances and employee benefits, and change management.
- Attendance at workshops, and monthly HR meetings with HQ HR & SEA team to discuss HR initiatives and policy changes.
- Overseeing the Talent Acquisition team and Studio Administrator.
- Champion Learning and Development across all disciplines in the studio and facilitate a culture of continual learning.
- Develop and engage in the Gameloft brand by supporting the relationships with our education partners and increasing the Employee Value Proposition.
- Integrate new systems and work closely with Global HQ to ensure best practices are followed.
- Oversee HR projects including health and well-being initiatives and oversee company team events, supported by the Studio Administrator.
- Liaising with industry partners such as IGEA, and Screen QLD to keep up-to-date with developments in the games industry.
- Co-ordinate the WH&S for the Studio.
- Drive and support the positive company culture.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will possess exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build an effective and trusting relationship while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Additionally, to be considered for this role you must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of contractual legislation and ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and willingness to seek solutions.
- Customer focused and the ability to build rapport with a wide variety of people from all walks of life.
- Ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and Awards, together with policy and procedure.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Bonus points: Games industry knowledge and interest
