OVERVIEW
In case you’re not aware, London Studio is part of a wider network of PlayStation Studios and there are lots of opportunities for collaboration and wider support from our sister studios like Insomniac, Guerrilla, Naughty Dog and Media Molecule to name a few.
We are now building a team from the ground up for an upcoming PlayStation 5 online game. The role you are applying for is fundamental to this journey. We are in search of a dynamic, eager to learn, and adventurous HR Intern. We believe that personal drive and enthusiasm make you stand out from the crowd, so whatever your background, we want you!
Reporting to our Studio HRBP, you will recognise that, when HR is done accurately, our function does have a huge impact on a thriving and growing creative studio.
Scope of Work
- Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.
- Supporting on ad hoc recruitment tasks which may include updating job descriptions and coordinating interviews with shortlisted candidates.
- Posting and removing job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms, when we have open roles or once vacancies have been filled.
- Responsible for undertaking pre-employment checks for new employees in line with company policy.
- Assisting the HR staff in collecting market salary information.
- Coordinating new hire orientations
- Responding to low-level staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters
- Assisting Studio HRBP with researching, planning and implementing ad hoc HR projects
- Responsible for HR Admin tasks.
We are expecting that this role will put your analytical and technical skills to the test, but that you'll want to roll up your sleeves up and get stuck in.
Experience/Knowledge
Required
Strong experienced with all Microsoft Office applications
Team-spirited
Taking the initiative
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Effective communication skills, written and verbally.
Detail & focused
Self-motivated
Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize their workload
Desirable
Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field i.e. CIPD qualification.
Impact
You will be working with the people and will be encouraged to build those relationships, when this role is done well its impact is wide-reaching. We want to make sure you get stuck in and plugged into the Studio as much as possible.
Complexity
This is an entry-level role and as such the tasks you will learn will help you to build that first critical year of your HR experience. We expect you to be learning and growing as you embark on your Internship with us.
