We are looking for a motivated and passionate HR Director to join our team at Seriously. The newly created role, located in Santa Monica, California, will partner with the executive leadership team to support the rapidly growing operations of a global business. As the HR lead in the Santa Monica office, the ideal candidate will possess solid functional expertise across all general areas of HR, including workforce planning, compensation and benefits, performance management and employment law. Responsibilities:
- Partner with the global HR team to develop and execute strategies related to employee relations, systems implementation, compensation, performance management and HR policies.
- Provide HR consultation and expertise to senior management across marketing, data science, business development, operations and finance.
- Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting, on-boarding, and orientation of new employees.
- Manage and collaborate with our executive leadership team on compensation, insurance, retirement and benefits programs.
- Manage employee relations and respond to all questions regarding benefits, systems, performance, company programs and policies.
- Identify and recommend continuous improvements to HR programs and processes to drive efficiencies and enhance the employee experience.
- Collaborate with appropriate personnel to design and offer employee trainings such as anti-harassment and anti-corruption.
- Stay up to date on California HR laws and practices including payroll, benefits, compliance, terminations, leave of absences and privacy protection.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, graduate degrees preferred.
- Prior experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in human resources.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of and passion for gaming, entertainment, media, and technology a plus.
