About the role
We are looking for a dynamic manager who is excited about creating an environment where all team members feel supported and excited about the work they do, are provided with the tools and resources they need to excel, and know someone is constantly thinking about new ways to support the team through scale.
As the HR & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for concepting, defining and implementing innovative programs that set Supernatural apart, drive employee engagement, and overall retention. This role is essential to Supernatural’s success! The Supernatural team is our most important asset and you’ll be the one to ensure we have a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our established mission and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supporting overall human resources and talent management execution including retention initiatives, training, employee recognition and wellness programs.
- Leading company benefit training and administration including evaluating and consistently working to improve upon existing offerings.
- Planning, leading, and facilitating employee new-hire orientation and onboarding programs including i-9 verification across the organization.
- Partnering with the People Operations team and internal stakeholders to build-out internal DE&I programs.
- Co-leading performance review processes to ensure all managers are completing performance reviews in a timely manner, supporting delivery of feedback, and processing related changes as needed.
- Leading company culture programs that drive employee connection from introduction to execution, ensuring they align with business strategy.
- Managing budgets related to areas of involvement like sponsorship, recognition, and wellness programs.
- Managing database updates as employee information changes.
- Managing immigration and sponsorship processes including managing deadlines, filing applications in a timely manner, and effectively communicating with Legal, Finance, and internal stakeholders throughout the process.
- Regularly ensuring the team is aware of labor law changes at the state and federal levels, and leading any necessary changes with Legal.
- Partnering with Finance on payroll processing including leaves of absence administration.
- Supporting recruitment efforts as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years of professional HR experience as a manager, specialist, business partner, or executive.
- Experience managing payroll, benefits administration, and leaves of absence nationally at scale.
- Experience researching, creating, documenting, and implementing company policies including, but not limited to an employee handbook.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, anti-discrimination practices, equal employment opportunity laws and HR best practices.
- Proven experience creating and tracking with Human Resources metrics.
- Attention to detail and be a process-oriented leader with experience managing HR systems, employee databases, and organized personnel file repository.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- The ability to architect strategies along with leadership skills.
- The desire and ability to establish rapport across the organization and effectively manage interpersonal relationships across all levels of the company.
Bonus points for:
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Six Sigma.
- Experience exiting from PEO.
- Experience working with Namely HRIS.
- Participation in seminars and workshops around diversity in the workplace or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proficient skills in Excel or Google Sheets including v-lookups & pivot tables.
- Experience in media, entertainment, or VR/AR.
