As a senior HR Business Partner (Mexico City), you will be responsible to resource on all things related to our talent and facilities in México, working locally and with HQ to fulfill Latam needs. Will help drive aligned, data-informed talent decisions by acting as a strategist, coach, culture evangelist, thought leader, talent steward, and designer of tools and programs that turn Rioter potential into performance and results.
Current main challenges are:
- Sustain recruiting plan, to add the required talent at RG standards level.
- Support current leaders & team development, together with driving Latam climate and culture to desired levels
- Lead all main change initiatives
Utilizing your strong communication skills and upbeat personality, you’ll build and maintain a network of trust throughout Riot Latam, so every people problem is met head-on by Rioters armed with the right tools.
You are:
- An experienced manager: you’ve logged at least ten years in executive positions in HR and you’re responsible for creating processes and programs that pushed teams forward
- Educated: you’ve conquered college and you’ve got the BA or BS degree to prove it; You have an MBA or Masters in H
- Results-driven: never satisfied, you consider anything less than surpassing your goals a total wash; you push the pace, motivating yourself and others to deliver results while consistently performing at the top of your gameR too!.
- Personable and agile: your sunny disposition and approachable demeanor disarm conflicts and put Rioters at ease; when situations start getting stressful or plans aren’t working as intended, you’re a first responder that can quickly manage shifting priorities
- An Office master: you’ve got the Microsoft Office suite down pat, and you’re prepared to handle any .doc
- A communications pro: you seamlessly and effectively communicate across any medium, including email, hallway conversation, in-game ping, or megaphone, which you can do in English and in Spanish.
- Player-focused: you understand the intricacies and eccentricities of gamer cultures and subcultures because you’re a gamer
- Culturally astute: you're a native of the entertainment industry and have an intrinsic sense of where audience tastes in TV, film and gaming are headed; you're also able to draw parallels from other industries on how their top talent can fit within Riot to level-up the office
You will:
- Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent.
- Collect, analyze and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning).
- Participate in organizational strategic planning and provide leadership and policy development.
- Research and assist in the development of training programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve improvements with priority organizational concerns.
- Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction. Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to have influence and impact the recruiting process and hiring.
- Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including current job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
- Manage full life talent cycle (recruitment, training, comms, compensations, org. Culture, offboarding)
- Be a legal advisor to talent decision and manage the local benefits and payroll programs.
- Develop deep relationships with in-house talent and build an ongoing development program, ensuring your specialists have exactly what they need to get their jobs done and done well beyond expectations
- Source, hire and onboard new talent from internal and external sources
- Maintain and leverage your contacts across the industries, raising Riot's profile in the industry and creating an inviting environment for new talent
- Negotiate and draft contracts with new and existing talent and work with Legal to ensure they're executed quickly and smartly
- Dive right into Riot Games, learning the ins-and-outs of company-wide initiatives in order to provide the right talent for each project
- Partner with the Talent disciplines in Los Angeles and worldwide to bring the best talent practices, initiatives, and trainings in Riot
Desired Qualification:
- 8+ years of experience in a HR generalist/business partner/manager role with proven progression, 4+ years leading and developing people
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Design or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience
