At Level Ex, we advance the practice of medicine through play - using technology and design from the consumer games industry to accelerate the adoption of new skills and techniques in healthcare. Level Ex is the first Medical Games Studio - making video games for doctors. We are in the business of genre creation - what we are doing has never been achieved before. Our People team therefore has the unique challenge of pulling in the best elements from game development and healthcare culture to create the ideal work environment for the talent we want to attract. We need a new HR Business Partner to help us make Level Ex the best place our employees have ever worked, as well as the place they've done their best work, ever.

You have a proven track record of establishing successful partnerships with leaders; and helping them shape and execute their people strategies. What You'll Do
Reporting to the VP of People and Culture, you will be entrusted with and accountable for the following:
- Becoming a trusted confidant and advisor to people leaders across the organization so that you can provide manager coaching, training and support;
- Developing strategies to improve employee engagement, performance, and development, including competency-based talent development initiatives, mentoring programs and career growth planning;
- Managing our semi-annual performance and compensation review process;
- Providing thoughtful guidance and support to our people leaders on performance management issues and, where applicable, terminations;
- Analyzing employee engagement trends and metrics to determine priorities for People Team initiatives;
- Partnering with and supporting our "Raising the Score" group on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives, and partnering across functions to help attract, develop, and retain underrepresented talent;
- Creating internal communications that gather feedback from employees and share information and insights, in a voice that challenges the stereotype of boring HR legalese and celebrates the amazing group of people we've gathered with a sense of gratitude, humility, and fun (we are a games company after all!);
- Acting as an ambassador of our brand, culture, and mission - both internally and externally;
- Documenting processes, policies, and procedures to establish a repository of institutional knowledge to be leveraged across the organization;
- Working with the VP to ensure all of our solutions and procedures are compliant with employment law and EEOC regulations;
- Handling confidential information with the utmost maturity, discretion, and diplomacy.

Experience You Have
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR/People Operations/People Management. Experience in creative, tech, and start-up companies preferred.
- Track record of successfully partnering with leadership to develop People strategies, processes, and programs.
- Experience owning at least one HR initiative (employee engagement, performance management, career development, compensation planning and the like) from ideation, through execution, to measuring effectiveness and optimizing (don't worry, you'll have support here, but you need to be able to drive from start to finish).
- Prior responsibility for coaching people managers.
- Experience with HR metrics; personally synthesizing findings and reporting on data-driven insights.
- Public speaking, internally or externally, to educate and motivate.
- Proficiency with at least one online talent management platform, HRIS, and ATS (we use Lattice, Rippling and Greenhouse, respectively, but are more concerned with your ability to quickly learn new systems than prior experience with what we use), as well as comfort working in both g suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
