What You'll Do:

The HR Business Partner will partner closely with management and business leaders across our various studios and shared services to provide guidance, direction and influence that promote our business goals and objectives. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to; new hire onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement initiatives, as well as managing the responsibility of building a strong corporate culture in our west coast offices. This role will split time between our San Francisco and Palo Alto offices. Other responsibilities include:

· Representing the HR function for our west coast offices autonomously

· Working closely with studio leadership and all levels of management in the organization to execute people strategies that support our business goals and objectives, and enable growth for the business

· Partnering with management, provide guidance in resolving employee relations issues ranging from performance management, retention, talent development and employee engagement

· Responding to employee inquiries and concerns related to HR and ensure a timely and courteous resolution

· Conducting compensation market analysis and insights for new and existing roles; supporting managers and recruiters with offer creation

· Conducting new hire orientation with new employees in both the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices.

· Collaborating with office management in the coordination of company culture initiatives and events in the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices

· Acting as a liaison between employees and outside counsel and provide continuous support and coordination to keep the immigration process moving

· Conducting research on HR best practices and trends and make recommendations for improvements

· Assisting with HR projects and reporting as needed

About You:

· 3+ years' experience in a strong Generalist or HR Business Partner role

· Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in HR or a related discipline (Psychology, Sociology etc.)

· Preference will be given to candidates who are coming from the games, e-commerce, or computer software industries

· Self-directed; able and willing to strongly represent the HR function for the west coast

· Ability to effectively build relationships by establishing trust and credibility as well as influence employees at all levels of the organization

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

· Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR

· Ability to keep strict confidentiality in all HR matters

· Solid understanding of both California and city of San Francisco employment laws and their impact on HR matters

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and consistent professional attitude
