As a London Rioter, you'll report into the Country Manager and you'll join a small but dedicated team striving to help Riot become the most player-focused game company in the world. You'll share our prioritisation of player experience, rejection of convention and passion for gaming. And you’ll bring unique player experiences that demonstrate to UK players they are front and centre of what we’re trying to achieve. Additionally you will work with an EU People team (based in Dublin) ensuring that core People Programs are optimised and HR service delivery is consistent to maximise Rioter engagement.
Responsibilities
- Work with recruiting partners and hiring managers to Identify essential positions and skill gaps; support candidate selection through sourcing, panel interviews, offer package support, onboarding, relocation, visa assistance, etc.
- Consult with leadership on organisational design, and change management; develop Rioters through People management practices/tools (including: succession planning, talent development programs, mobility, etc.) and ensure the seamless onboarding of new Rioters
- Provide performance management tools to support Rioters' continued growth and awareness; coach individuals through the performance improvement process
- Be a go-to partner for all things Total Rewards (Compensation, Perks, and Benefits) ensuring seamless, fair, and meritocratic comp review cycles with leadership teams; coach managers on how to address compensation needs
- Educate and equip leaders from your HR experience with knowledge on employment compliance, risks, and benefits of talent decisions while also providing Rioters with conflict resolution and grievance escalation guidance
- Deploy company surveys and tools, use the data gained from them to analyze trends and make informed recommendations for organizational improvement (turnover, promotions, transfers, engagement, performance)
Desired Qualifications
- You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in a HRBP or similar role, in a standalone setting looking after operational aspects, experience coaching leaders, and working on the implementation of a variety of HR (small and medium scale) programs. Experience within a creative/gaming/tech environment is a big plus.
- You have hands-on end-to-end recruitment experience and you don't mind picking up some sourcing work.
- You have a genuine passion for gaming and value Riot’s approach to "player experience first"
- You're empathetic and build trust. You're comfortable commingling with people from all cultures and backgrounds, and you care for the folks around you; whether candidly advising a teammate or copping to your mistakes, you don't fear the truth, always delivering and receiving it constructively
- You're comfortable working in a matrixed organisation (HQ in LA, EU HQ in Dublin) with a “Global Local” Mindset: you now how to built relationships with (remote) peers, feel comfortable moving between projects, dealing with changing reality, and navigating the unknown.
