Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic HR Business Partnering team for 6 months to support with key projects. This role reports to the Senior HR Business Partner and in collaboration with the team, will be responsible for supporting and managing activity associated with restructures, performance management and executing ‘future of work’ initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, along with being knowledgeable and confident in UK employee relations with an awareness of EMEA practices. You will have significant Senior Advisor experience looking to step up into a HBRP role.
Core Responsibilities:
Org-Design and Restructures
- Work with the core change team and senior stakeholders to deliver a change programme by providing hands on HR support to ensure a smooth workforce transition and mitigating risk where necessary.
- This includes executing a full consultation process which may require the coordination of electing employee representatives and consulting with works councils across Europe.
- Working with the wider team and legal counsel to ensure all supporting documentation is created and maintained.
- Manage all potential ER challenges such as appeals.
- Coach managers throughout the change programme to ensure they have the technical and emotional awareness to execute decisions.
- Work closely with our Reward and Talent Acquisition team to ensure the full completion of the workforce transition plan.
Employee Relations
- In collaboration with the HRBP team, provide HR support during all formal UK ER cases with a particular focus on performance management (PIPs).
- This includes, drafting scripts, coaching managers, advising on outcomes, and working with external legal counsel and Occ Health where appropriate.
- Guide the HR Operations team to provide admin support during cases and upskilling where possible.
- Track all ER cases and recommended opportunities for improvements based on metrics.
Future of Work
- Provide HR support to Senior HRBP and VP of HR to execute requirements of ‘Future of Work’ programme. This will include but not limited to, supporting with activity to aid a smooth returning to the office and imbedding new ways of working.
- Provide Senior HRBP support during Covid-risk committee meetings.
As these projects will have peaks and troughs you'll flex your time to support to the wider HR team where appropriate. Some flexibility will also need to be demonstrated as some key stakeholders are US West-Coast based.
About you:
Essential:
- Exceptional employee relations and employment law knowledge with experience of both formal consultation and without prejudice conversations.
- Strong experience in performance management, coaching.
- Proven strong relationship management experience, ideally with a non-UK based stakeholder group.
- Balances best practice with pragmatism.
- Has experience of working in organisations going through global change.
- Strong can-do attitude and ability work autonomously.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to see through hierarchy and with a willingness to get stuck in.
- Proven influencing skills.
Extras:
- Insight and an understanding of the business environment/industry in which the business operates.
- Understanding of EMEA HR practices.
- Strategic effectiveness – ability to generate HR business insight for long term goals.
