HR Assistant
Hutch is looking for an HR Assistant or a People Team Assistant, as we call the role here, to join their team in London. This is a great opportunity within a creative, exciting and growing business. In this newly created role you will be highly organised, proactive and have a friendly approach. This is a very hands-on role and you will be a key point of contact for HR queries. It is also important that the PT Assistant will contribute to new initiatives and can take on additional responsibility when required. Candidates should have generalist HR knowledge and will provide comprehensive assistance that supports our people strategy, culture and best in class approach.
Responsibilities
- Support across the employee journey including onboarding/offboarding, staff development, benefits, wellbeing, ER, immigration etc
- Responsible for employee administration including contracts, benefits, policies, assessments, joiners/leavers, visas, policies, processes, documentation and general admin support to the team
- Carrying out inductions and exit interviews
- Payroll support ensuring that information is collected and processed within monthly deadlines
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date files and upkeep of the Breathe HR system
- Providing assistance with Learning & Development and training activities
- Helping with the coordination & delivery of a range of initiatives and programmes including Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing, charity and social activities
- Preparing and supporting with reports, surveys and dashboard information
- Supporting with the creation of new people documentation, policies and presentations
- Ad hoc tasks and projects
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience within an HR role
- Excellent IT skills e.g Google or Microsoft Suite
- Highly organised with a conscientious approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- HR/Payroll system experience
- Proactive and people-focused
- Confident with a friendly and approachable manner
- Someone who is excited by change and keen to give ideas and support initiatives
Bonus Points
- Experience within a creative environment (gaming, media, marketing, music, digital, design etc)
- Previous experience within a newly created HR team
- Strong/creative PowerPoint/Google Slide skills
- Experience supporting/being part of a committee e.g D&I, Social Team etc
