GROUP CREATIVE DIRECTOR, MARCOM
EA is hiring an exceptional Group Creative Director to oversee Marketing & Communications creative. You are a senior leader who will lead a talented, cross-discipline team of Creative Directors who develop our marketing trailers, key art, identity, copy and overall marketing assets for a suite of world renowned IP including Star Wars, Battlefront, Need for Speed and beyond.
THE TEAM
EA’s Marcom Strategy is the team responsible for defining the plans that underpin our marketing campaigns. This global group of strategists, creative directors and copy writers define the steel threads that guide the campaign from inception to execution; including the strategic narrative, brand identity, creative platform and creative direction for our hero assets. We are equally analytical and creative, and relentlessly chase the next insight that will help us innovate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspires a talented team of Creative Directors and Art Directors across video and static, digital and traditional
- Champions the work of the team to senior stakeholders up to the C-suite
- Collaborates closely with strategists and analysts to extract the insights that will unlock creative innovation
- Creates space for the creative team to do their best work
- Partners with both the internal production team and external agencies to bring the creative vision for our marketing content to life – at quality, on time, and on budget
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 10+ years in a creative role within the gaming/entertainment industry or agency
- A leader: experience inspiring an organization irrespective of reporting lines; a vocal champion of the work that knows when to defend the work and when feedback will make the idea stronger
- A thinker: a creative, lateral and analytical thinker who loves deconstructing complex problems
- A natural born storyteller: an innate ability to tell an evocative message in an image, a video, or a line of copy
- A proven creator: a rich CV of innovative activations and content across a variety of mediums
- Lives and breathes digital marketing: understands the role algorithms play, the nuances of consumer behavior in open/closed networks, and can visualize the consumer journey across channels
- Insights: innate ability to interpret and decipher quant and qual data and extract the insights that will unlock innovative marketing
