The team:
You will join the Financial Planning Group department at Ubisoft International HQ. Within this department, the Business Planning team’s tasks are to build group Budget, Forecast, and analyze actual performance. To do so, the team has to define reporting process, develop corresponding tools and interact with all BU’s Business planning Team.
The position’s objectives:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Planning Officer, you will be in charge of a team of 10 people and your role is to be at any time the reference for group performance of the current year and year to come.
To carry out this mission, we look for a Director with recognized analytical and organizational skills, the ability to deeply understand Ubisoft operational dynamics and Video Game industry challenges.
Your daily tasks will be to:
- Organize and animate the Budget, Forecast and Actuals reporting processes and tools in collaboration with BU’s Financial Planning;
- Define the Group's detailed financial Budget, highlight the key performance drivers, main risks and opportunities and present it to the Top Management;
- Analyze current performance, provide in depth financial analysis on selected topics and update Forecast accordingly. Your focus will be on Toplines, Direct and Indirect operational costs, R&D Investment, Ebit, Cash Flow from Operations, Capex, Live games & Players KPI’s – and any Financial and Non-Financial KPI’s which allow a fair understanding of Ubisoft Operating performance;
- Provide Financial Communication team with detailed financial perspectives;
- Develop your team to continuously enhance financial reporting processes, modeling capabilities and Business understanding;
- Manage and develop reporting tools to keep it adapted to group evolving needs and be part or lead projects of transformation;
- Co-own Financial Planning's global policies and work closely with Method & Process team and BU’s Financial Planning teams (Reporting Rules, Analytical Axis definitions notably);
- Partner with Group R&D Team and Group Strategic Planning to get a full understanding of our Investments and assess our Project/Games value;
- You will have close interaction as well with Treasury Team, Consolidation Team and Administrative Direction Project Team.
Qualifications
Your profile:
- You have acquired a solid experience in Financial controlling, you have led Financial teams.
- You are recognized for your leadership skills, your ability to convince and thrive on working with international teams. As well as building strong and extensive relations with your key partners
- You are confident in your capacity to offer sharp guidance to leaders (all the way up to C-level executives);
- You stand apart thanks to your rigour, reliability, inquiring mind and sense of initiative,
- You have a keen interest in the entertainment industry and, more specifically, video games;
- You speak fluent English and French.
