Sumo Warrington is made up of a diverse mix of fantastic people, although sometimes, some groups are still under-represented. We are working to remove obstacles that can make it difficult for those groups to progress their careers in the games industry. We welcome applications from under-represented people in the gaming industry, including, but not limited to BAME, LGBQT+, women, people with physical disabilities, neurodiversity or mental health issues, and parents or carers.

We make valuable contributions to a huge variety of great games for established and emerging platforms in partnership with some of the world’s biggest and best developers.

We actively encourage ownership and autonomy and work “smart” to avoid crunch and maximise team performance and wellbeing.

If you’re a talented problem-solver, committed to excellence, collaboration and learning, and relish a new challenge we'd love to talk to you!

What’s the role?

As a Graphics Programmer, you’ll be engaged in the development and maintenance of cutting edge, high performance graphics functionality and associated content pipelines. And with the willing support of industry veterans and senior specialists, you’ll have regular feedback and many opportunities to develop skills and knowledge to accelerate career progression.

You'll be responsible for the delivery and integration of high-quality solutions, exploiting and abstracting underlying platform features to fulfil varied and technically challenging project requirements. You'll also contribute to the creation and maintenance of realistic schedules, communicating progress and impediments as they arise.

What do we want from you?

We’re looking for strong C++ programmers with a positive, can-do attitude and demonstrable commercial experience of working with graphics pipelines, low-level graphics APIs, shader languages and/or GPU profiling and optimisation techniques for PC and (ideally) console platforms. We also need to see strong 3D math and problem-solving skills and a real passion for graphics, games and game technology.

Where do we stand on diversity?

At Sumo Digital, we know that diversity and inclusivity will make our teams (and the amazing work that they do) better! We encourage and welcome ALL applications.
