As Graphics Engineer at Wicked Realm Games, you will produce beautiful visuals and game play with a team of experienced developers making free-to-play mobile games. You will work with globally beloved licenses and original concepts. The ideal candidate will be beloved by the art team for making beautiful visuals come to life and beloved by the engineering team for keeping memory and performance under control. You will create shaders and own the Unity render pipeline. You will work with artists to set up the necessary pipelines to create and sustain beautiful games. You will work on game systems as needed or desired, to ensure your visuals play as well as they look. You will utilize your outstanding communication and organizational skills, varied development experiences, and a passion for developing successful mobile games. This role will directly contribute to Tilting Point’s mission of becoming the top game developer, publisher, and partner of choice for funding, marketing, and co-development.
Your Future at Tilting Point
The Graphics Engineer will be responsible for creating beautiful high performance graphical experiences for our players with the art and engineering teams.
- Create and maintain graphics tools for the art team and engineers
- Work with the art team to produce effects and optimize them to run on device
- Identify and fix client performance issues
- Write clean code that is easily understandable and maintainable
- Make appropriate concessions between clean code and optimized code
- Educate the larger team about graphics and performance considerations
Your XP & Skills
- 4+ years with Unity
- 2+ years working with graphics, writing shaders, debugging and profiling on device
- Has worked on and shipped multiple games
- Experience with Unity's Scriptable render pipelines a plus
- Proven track record of building game systems that allow designers to tune the fun.
- Experience with shaders, lighting, 3d assets, particle systems, etc.
- Ability to investigate and debug platform specific issues with tools such as Xcode Communicate effectively with the team at large
- Self driven with the ability to prototype an idea and evaluate it with the larger team
- Passionate about learning more about Unity and pushing the boundaries of performance
