Build amazing experiences in Halo Infinite , connect players across platforms in Minecraft , unleash your creativity on original IP or think strategy with Magic: The Gathering Arena . SkyBox Labs is a game development studio that works on some of the world’s most iconic games. Our current projects include working as a co-developer on Halo Infinite , projects in the Minecraft Universe , supporting the development of Magic: The Gathering Arena , and original title, Stela . As one of Vancouver’s fastest-growing game studios, since our inception in 2011, SkyBox Labs has evolved from a group of 8 people developing independent projects to a team of over 180 engineers, artists, designers, producers, and more.
We are currently looking for an experienced and talented Graphics Engineer who will push forward cutting-edge technology through research and development with modern graphics APIs on AAA titles. Come work on bleeding-edge, realistic graphics and build cool things for an ambitious project with millions of users!
Responsibilities
- Refactor existing rendering systems to improve functionality and increase performance
- Profile and optimize rendering
- Leverage modern techniques to create a fresh look in an existing system
- Coordinate with leads to ensure smooth roll-out of new graphical features
Qualifications
- Experienced in researching, developing and optimizing rendering techniques and systems
- Familiarity with popular rendering technology (OpenGL, DirectX11/12, Vulkan, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in C++
- Strong understanding of 3D rendering algorithms and related math
- Proven interest in staying current in modern rendering techniques
- Self-driven with a passion for delivering high-quality work
