Graphic Design and Multimedia Specialist, EA Worldwide Customer Experience
4 years ago
You’re the Internal Graphic Design and Multimedia Specialist.
You’re passionate about design and communicating information in a creative and efficient way. You’re a one-person show – you do a little bit of everything related to design and work with lots of people to make it happen.
You work with teams across Customer Experience and the rest of EA including Internal Communications, Insights, Leadership, and Facilities. You love satisfying customers – you have a good attitude, you actively listen and respond to stakeholder feedback, you’re responsive and have a quick turnaround time, and you’re known for partnering with stakeholders to produce great results that you’re both proud of. You take pride in your objectivity and creativity - you listen to feedback objectively (and don’t take design feedback personally), actively seek out diverse viewpoints, negotiate between what stakeholders want and what you think makes sense, and find a creative solution that satisfies your stakeholders.
You are a confident project leader and planner who can follow through on a project from the spark of an idea to execution. You are full of energy, ideas, and aren’t satisfied with doing ‘ what worked last year ’ because you seek to wow and you recognize that the business is always changing . You pay attention to the de tails and work hard to keep things organized. You prioritize being a team player. You ’re a great collaborator, and you’re happier with a team win than an individual medal. Your creativity, maturity, and judgement help you earn the trust of leaders and peers.
You’re also a genuinely nice person who brings positive, enthusiastic energy to an office.
We’re the Employee Experience team, part of the larger Communications and Employee Enablement team.
We’re here to help advisors have great experiences with WWCE and EA. Your mission is to improve the quality of life our employees enjoy at work by making sure employees see what they need to succeed, understand it, and are inspired by it. Why? Because if we can take care of our employees, our employees will be better prepared to take care of our players.
Everything we say and do for employees impacts how they help players. And everyone must advocate and uphold culture – even when it’s hard, even when it’s unseen, and even when it doesn’t feel important.
A typical day in the life of an Internal Graphic Design and Multimedia Specialist:
- deeply engage with the work and be an advocate for the team’s agenda, campaigns, and brand
- create, maintain, and promote brand guidelines and self-serve assets that non-designers can use
- create useable and consistent templates for presentations, email headers, documents, and so on
- help stakeholders visually communicate their message by giving storytelling advice, illustrating ideas creatively, and proactively making strategic recommendations
- create custom presentation decks, posters, infographics, and other internal graphic communications
- manage projects from start to finish - manage intake, prioritization, collaboration, script, storyboard, budget, deadlines, optimal forms of media for projects, etc.
- develop video and other multimedia content from brief to final cut - create simple animations, direct and coach talent, shoot, and/or record; edit footage and sound files; organize raw media; insert static or motion graphics/titles/voice overs, and so on
- create branding materials for facilities and employee swag
- manage all media and project storage and archives
- work independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables
- partner with internal IT and external A/V solutions to produce quarterly all-hands meetings – including facilitating streaming of local content to a global audience and testing, troubleshooting, and implementing new and creative tech solutions
- create ad-hoc image, text, and/or design assets for stakeholders.
- use tech tools and creative solutions to measure the effectiveness of your work
You’ll need to be awesome at wearing these hats:
- Questioner: You ask thoughtful questions to understand why people are asking for things so we identify what they really need
- Communicator: You’re a great visual communicator, writer, and speaker
- Listener: You actively listen to feedback, implement what you can, and acknowledge what you’re not taking and why
- Project Manager: You create, manage, and execute plans to make your ideas a reality
- Energetic Encourager: You thrive on helping others flex their creative skills and help them do more for themselves
