Job Overview
Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore is looking for a Graphic Design Artist focused on support and delivery of visuals and related content in line with our content roadmap for both current and upcoming projects. The Graphic Design Artist collaborates with relevant stakeholders and resources across the Publishing, Marketing, and Development teams to ideate/iterate upon and deliver quality assets and similar content in line with project visions. The Graphic Design Artist may also be required to work closely with external agencies and vendors as the workload and priorities necessitate.

What will you do?
- Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders to deliver content in line with vision.
- Create graphics that align with the project vision across different forms of media.
- Identify requirements including scope, schedule and quality needs on all project deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication at every stage including initial concepts for greenlight as well as in progress ‘show and tell’ to ensure project remains true to vision and on track.
- Plan, execute and deliver visuals & similar projects according to deadline and budget.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining clear understanding of projects’ business relevance and prioritizing accordingly.
- Develop, monitor, manage and revise project scope, budgets, timelines and processes, keeping team abreast of changes and concerns.
- Collaborate closely with a cross functional team of designers, artists, strategists and developers to create stunning visual assets and user experiences.
- Coordinate with third parties including contractors and consultants as projects necessitate.
- Maintain consistency with the World of Tanks franchise aesthetic pillars across a wide variety of deliverables.
What are we looking for?
- Mastery of InDesign and Illustrator. Very heavy mastery of Photoshop, particularly in photo manipulation and seamlessly realistic photo-compositing.
- Understanding of branding and design systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design fundamentals like layout, color theory and typography.
- Collaborative and inclusive approach to solving visual challenges.
- Basic comprehension of AfterEffects. (Ability to navigate the interface and apply presets effectively)
- Creative approach to solving challenging, complex UX problems related to visual design.
- Effective organization skills and an eye for detail
- Must have online portfolio or PDF equivalent.
- Avid interest for making an industry leading game and an understanding of how visual design can enhance player experiences.
- Familiarity with task tracking (JIRA or similar) and documentation (Confluence or similar) software.
- Fast learner, able to incorporate internal tools into workflow seamlessly.
- Ability and desire to ‘wear many hats’ from concept to creation, planning & tracking, collaboration & communication and everything in between.
- Inquisitive personality, always looking to improve and grow in consideration of output quality, industry advancements and competitive realities.
- Clear, concise communicator (both verbally & written, etc.) comfortable with internal and/or public presentation.
- Proactive, team player capable of identifying opportunities/concerns early and often in order to avoid issues and achieve goals on target.
- Desire for continual professional growth/development, both in breadth and depth.
- Familiarity with gaming industry, terminology & associated platforms.
- Experience with delegation of work as well as managing team members locally/remotely and collaborating with third parties.
- Humble, ‘get it done’ attitude and collaborative demeanor while also understanding when it is appropriate to assert your experience and ideas.
- Understanding of global and regional nuances and comfortable collaborating with global offices across various time zones when needed.
Must be experienced using the following programs:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
Experience in these programs is a plus:
- Adobe XD
- Adobe After Effects
