Graduate Project Officer, Defence - September 2023 start

Your Mission:
- The focus of this position is to facilitate the smooth operation of our teams who are working on deliveries of software solutions to our Defence customers. As part of this you will undertake a number of activities such as:
- Organising tech demonstrations in our offices and at customer sites
- Working with software developers and product managers to identify the best way to organise activities
- Aligning internal teams to collaborate on a shared goal
- Liaise between external stakeholders, like customer and partner companies, and our teams to coordinate activities
- Helping teams work effectively together
- Spot risks and find ways to avoid them
- As a very modern engineering organisation, we work natively using agile methodologies to deliver disruptive cloud-based software solutions supporting the mission of our Armed Forces in keeping the nation safe and secure.
Areas for Impact:
- You will embed into one (or more) delivery squads in Defence, leading delivery to our Defence customers and working closely with fellow PMO team members, Product design and management staff and a number of engineering disciplines.
- You will facilitate agile ceremonies and drive projects to completion
- You will challenge deliverables status, anticipate blockers, remove blockers and identify and engage with the right stakeholders to mitigate unexpected issues.
- You will promote a shared concept of risk, priority and quality, so that delivery outcomes are well understood and owned across the team.
- You will build your agile delivery experience to improve our ways of working.
- You will ensure that teams use data-driven insight to adapt and change their approach for effective delivery.

- Have an interest in running agile software development
- Enjoy collaboration and have good communication skills.
- Are a self-starter, able to spot what needs to be done and get on with it to help the team
- Have a technical appreciation supported by a degree, experience in industry or hobby and an ability to build strong relationships with colleagues of other disciplines, particularly engineering and product design.
Please note due to the nature of this role you will be expected to meet requirements associated with obtaining UK security vetting clearance
