ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for this role you must have graduated with a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in 2021 or be graduating in 2022 from a UK University. Students from outside the UK will only be considered for the role if they are eligible for a graduate visa or already have the right to work in the UK.

What will you do as a Junior Environmental Artist?
Working as part of a larger Environment team, you will produce artistic content for the project, and assist in the dressing and development of fun, engaging and attractive game worlds.
- Produce artistic content such as props, buildings, and other environmental assets to be used across the project;
- Track and update the progress of day-to-day tasks using the designated tracking tools;
- Develop a good understanding of all project tools, and the game engine, as well as relevant best practices and workflows;
- Support the Lead Environment Artist in any ad hoc tasks and duties.
What you will bring to the job
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good understanding of PBR Texturing and material creation in Photoshop and Substance;
- An ability to create clean, well optimised game assets in a relevant Modelling package such as 3DS max;
- Understanding of LOD and collision generation;
- A good knowledge of core art techniques, such as composition and colour theory;
- An ability to create interesting, detailed and visually appealing environments;
- A good understanding of Game engines and level editors;
- An understanding of data management software (e.g Perforce) is desirable;
- Basic gameplay and level design knowledge is desirable;
- Knowledge of the video game industry and awareness of typical video game development processes is desirable;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Art or other relevant subject.
