Global Vice President Program Management and Operations position within D&D is the operational excellence focal point of people, process and tools for product and business initiatives delivery. Role drives and supports the product and technology roadmap from ideation to commercialization. Heads the coordination efforts of large, global technology and/or product teams being the “hub” of delivery planning and execution. This role in essence pulls together our collective brilliance of people, process, and tools brining forward an increasingly more seamless and smoother product development lifecycle from concept until end of life.
Leadership duties include leading a cross-functional team who supports diverse stakeholders responsible for end-to-end ownership of deliverables in a complex environment, and ensures all teams are aligned toward successful delivery - on-time, within scope and high quality from “concept through end of life”. Leadership focus supports corporate, non-product and product deliverables – as well as compliance and quality oversight throughout the full lifecycle of the initiative. The essence of success in the role is leading both strategic and time critical operational activity. This requires the ability to communicate strategy with executives as well as drilling down to the day-to-day tactical activities of an individual delivery team. Activities will range from stage gates, running triage teams, publishing balanced scorecards, managing schedules and risks registers as well as communicating various status across diverse enterprise stakeholders.What you'll do
- Visible functional leader of large-scale, cross-functional new strategic initiatives and complex deliverables portfolio (and/or leadership “hub” for multiple, smaller affiliated deliverables) from concept, through end of life
- Works with senior management to provide strategic and tactical advice on key initiatives planning and execution
- Works closely with the business stakeholders to ensure coordination and cooperation between interdepartmental teams in achievement of Aristocrat’s strategic initiative and/or commercial goals
- Provides direct leadership to Managers and Program Managers to optimize delivery business value and effectiveness
- Lead Shared Services team for diverse business needs (e.g., trade secrets, cryptocurrency, tech docs, risk and audit)
- Focal point to manage portfolio, staffing deliverables with PMO and requisite support staff
- Builds and motivates high-performing delivery teams through rewards recognition for meeting key milestones
- Owns innovation and creative vision for many aspects of collective brilliance and unleash talent and tools for delivery
- Drive operational excellence to improve delivery performance, maximize value, reduce waste, increase efficiencies, reduce costs, errors, defects, and improve overall key performance metrics
- Accountable to ensure Project/Program Managers and Operations team adhere to the SLAs and framework (i.e. governance)
- Owns adherence to deliverable stage gates, risk and opportunity management along with ownership of regular cadence of internal/external audits, executive reviews, stakeholder reporting, program metrics, counter measures and overall performance management throughout portfolio from concept until end of business support requirement
- Assist with maturation and methodologies of Quality Management in product development and broader organization
- Drive operational excellence and maturity models to improve performance, maximize value, & increase efficiencies
- Runs key delivery performance indicators across Quality, project, program and operations portfolio
- Build out metrics and data management for key business decisions and achieve optimal business value
- Manage deliverables utilizing adopted methodologies – by tracking; milestones, dependencies, and end deliverables
- Own maturity of delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scaled Agile, Lean / Six Sigma, Waterfall, etc.), and its flexibility
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance across the business on effective deliverables execution
- Author templates (e.g., charter, project plan, risk register, risk plan, communications plan, etc.), and drive adherence
- Build stakeholder engagement to understand, interpret, disseminate and execute quality requirements in deliverables
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Management Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, Project/Program Management or related field, Master’s Degree highly desirable
- Project/Program Management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince, Agile, etc.) would be beneficial (but not mandatory), or relevant industry and work experience
- Successfully managed innovative product development from inception to deployment
- Experience working with dispersed and offshore development teams
- 20+ years of experience
