What We Need:
Reporting to the Sr. Social & Community Manager (Global), the Manager, Global Social Media (GTM) will take a lead in building, maintaining, and engaging 2K Label & 2K Franchise communities. Communicating directly with relevant audiences in the channels they are already engaging on, these direct and on-going conversations ensure we acquire and retain strongly engaged consumer advocates.
Working closely with the Territory Community and Social teams across the region as well as with the Global Community & Content Team, the Manager, Global Social Media (GTM) will play a key role in creating and managing the global community & content strategy for growing our audience. Building engagement with consumers across the variety of community channels at our disposal, such as but not limited to - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Steam, Forums, etc.
The Manager, Global Social Media (GTM) will communicate & engage with the gaming community on an ongoing & daily basis and help build the 2K Label and 2K franchise fan bases. The role is also responsible for helping to increase 2K’s share of voice on all community channels through the creation and communication of relevant, exciting, engaging on-brand content that appeals to our various communities and turns them into loyal evangelists.
What You Will Do:
- In collaboration with global project leads (Social and Community Management as well as Brand), assist in the development of global Social and Community strategy
- Assist in representation of the Strategic plan, ensuring alignment with international territories to maximize support and execution of both the local and global go-to-market efforts
- Partner with and influence the Global Community & Content Team from project kick-off through launch and beyond to contribute to building and executing world-class community & social plans across the region
- In collaboration with global brand teams and territory Social leads, curate schedule of social copy and assets for deployment on the worldwide 2K publishing channels
- Develop a thorough awareness of relevant online community members and fan-sites across all key territories. Contribute to building a strategy that allows the territory teams to maintain and leverage relationships with key community members
- Monitor and report on community channels (growth, reach, engagement, sentiment, etc.) sharing learnings across the business and recommending activity or content that could further benefit from amplification
- Attend global, international and local territory shows, conventions and expos with a view to engaging directly with and rewarding our communities
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key community and social platform stakeholders
- Build close relationships with the Marketing/Comms teams in territory and global offices whilst maintaining relationships with all T2 / 2K departments

- Demonstrable experience in effective community management at the local or international level
- Competent understanding of the community landscape and channels and a passion and desire to engage with communities
- Passion for community and creativity a must
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work with short deadlines
- Works well under pressure
- A strong interest in videogames and a good knowledge of the wider entertainment industry
- Be capable of presenting and demonstrating videogames, both internally and externally
- Fluent in English, in both oral and written communication
- Professional and mature attitude and communication at all times
- Budget management
- IT Literacy
- Willingness to travel
- True team player with a collaborative approach
