About the Role

This role is a 6 month, part-time (19 hours per week) position. You will join the Twitch Global Service Operations Center (GSOC) that focuses on the performance and stability of our networks and systems. This GSOC team owns the beating heart of Twitch's Video Platform Live Operations and is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year. You will report to the Director of the GSOC and work directly with the System and Network Engineers that keep Twitch live. Your projects will include regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and system-reliability improvements. You will take part in keeping the heart and soul of Twitch smoothly humming around the clock, delivering exhibits of video to our tens of millions of users.

You Will:

• Build, design, and deploy internal GSOC tools
• Create documentation around process and workflow
• Monitor graph analytics to identify potential problem areas
• Work with partners to solve operational problems
• Shadow engineers to gain crucial working knowledge
• Manage independent projects

You Have

• Fundamental programming skills
