Your mission
For our Rotterdam HQ, we are looking for a Global PR Manager to join our publishing department to lead the company’s global PR activities and ensure that Vertigo Games achieves prominent coverage in all relevant media. This is your opportunity as a creative and digitally equipped PR professional to contribute to an exciting publishing team and support our product brand & marketing strategies with your expertise in executing global PR campaigns.
Within this position, you form a key part of a global team that grows our brands through strategic, proactive media engagement. While working on multiple high-end VR titles, you will bring your proficiency in multi-territory PR campaign management, media relations, and copywriting to our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and define global PR plans in line with our product brand & marketing strategies, including key communications pillars, PR campaign goal and objectives
- Work closely with studio leadership for the development and execution of the global PR campaign to build up, launch and sustain our VR games
- Manage PR budgets to set, track and deliver on campaign goals and objectives
- Supervise and support the inclusion and support of key communication pillars by all of the marketing assets produced by studios and the graphic design team
- Write and oversee the writing of copy for key commercial materials and presence
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with all key media outlets, editors and influencers for (VR) gaming in NA, UK and EU territories
- Identify and create opportunities to get coverage placed in key media, including bespoke coverage, exclusives, industry articles, event reports, award shows & gift/best of guides
- Collaborate with the relevant internal teams (Events, Marketing, Development) to organize (digital) trade show & event presence and related communications strategy and deliverables
- Work closely with internal community team to drive the creation and execution of community plans that are in line with our communications strategy
- Brief and where necessary train studio spokespersons for media interviews, guided demos and public speaking engagements
- Work alongside our worldwide local publishing offices to understand, approve and support local PR campaign requirements in line with our strategy
- Keep track of and align local territory PR approaches, related post campaign reports & analysis into a consistent global view in a timely fashion manner
- Present integrated global & local PR plans and post campaign reports and analysis to executive management
Your profile
- Requires a BA in Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience
- Relevant 5+ years experience in a global gaming-related PR and/or communications role
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
- A passion for video games & entertainment
- Experience in partnering with game developers or studios
- Experience managing PR budgets
- Ability to create communications pillars, set PR goals and align objectives
- Must be articulate and professional and the ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management in a high pressure environment, both internally and externally
- Excellent communication, copywriting, organizational and presentation skills
- Advanced Office, PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Fluent level of English is required (written and verbal)

- Technical knowledge of consoles, PC, VR and further gaming equipment
- Willingness and ability to travel, both national and international
