Global Mobility Specialist

We drive talent and leadership development, design modern people processes, and provide insightful and effective business HR partnership to Rovio business units. As a member of the HR function and the talent acquisition team, we are looking for a Global Mobility Specialist who has the ambition to help our new joiners and current employees in all mobility related matters.
The position is a one year, fixed-term employment, with a possibility of extension (parental leave substitution). If you have prior experience in global mobility, including immigration and relocation, and a general understanding of what it takes to relocate to another country - this one’s for you! You will work alongside a diverse group of HR professionals who deeply care about the candidate & employee experience and strive to be the best at getting better. You will interact with Rovians and candidates from across the globe, and have end-to-end ownership of relocation to Finland, Sweden, Canada, and Spain. We work with external service partners in each location who provide hands-on support to Rovians.
The TA team is distributed in two locations, Finland and Sweden, working in hybrid mode. While the majority of the time is spent working from home, the person hired will be expected to work onsite depending on the task at hand (e.g., meet-and-greets with candidates or new joiners). What you'll be doing:
- End-to-end ownership of immigration and relocation for existing employees and new joiners/cross-border internal transfer cases in Finland, Sweden, Canada, and Spain.
- Keep immigration records and renewals up-to-date.
- Collaborate with various parties i.e. TA Partners, HR, payroll, finance, external service partners, to ensure the best experience possible for Rovians. Our service partners will provide hands-on support for all immigration and relocation cases.
- Build or improve company-wide policies about relocation packages and processes in different countries. You will work with various stakeholders i.e. HR Operations, Heads of studio, VP Finance, Games management, Legal.
- Monitor the mobility related regulations and policies in Rovio locations, and develop solutions in line with the changes.
- Keep up-to-date with immigration and relocation issues to advocate for improvements with local government agencies if possible.
- Advise TA Partners, Hiring Managers, and Rovians about immigration and relocation related matters.
Who we think will do great in this role has:
- Experience in supporting with immigration and relocation. Preferably, familiarity with the relocation processes and immigration policies in one or a few of our office locations (Finland, Sweden, Canada or Spain).
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity, anticipate the unknowns, follow-through and continue to develop in a fast paced environment, especially when there might not be a clear idea of the what and how.
- Strong organization, prioritization skills and the ability to manage dozens of immigration and relocation cases and other projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders (e.g. TA Partners, HR Operations, hiring managers, candidates, Legal, Finance).
- External service provider management skills to ensure the best experience for Rovians and elevate the providers to a higher service level.
- Attention to detail to catch all the moving pieces.
- Ability to provide both practical and emotional support to Rovians as needed.
- Good spoken and written English skills.
Recruitment process:
- First meeting: You will meet the Hiring Manager. We want to know who you are, and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and how the role fits within the team.
- Second round: You will meet our current Mobility Specialist to discuss how you would handle real-life situations that a Mobility Specialist will face. This is also an opportunity for you to learn about the specifics of the role.
- Final round: You will be invited to meet one person from the TA and one person from the HR Ops team with whom you will be partnering with if hired for the position.
