THE ROLE
We are looking for an analytical and creative GLOBAL BRAND MANAGER who is experienced in the premium and fast-paced free-to-play console and PC gaming space. The right candidate must have the ability to embrace the unknown, to face challenges where there are yet no best practices, and to lead others through innovative thought and execution.
Reporting to the Head of Global Brand Management, you will spearhead the marketing strategy, campaign development and execution for specific products or franchises in the Splash Damage and partner portfolio. You will work closely with the development studios to establish key marketing pillars, messaging, and creative positioning for these products. You will coordinate with the Live Marketing Teams and community teams to understand the in-game metrics and community sentiment, and plan and execute on programs 3-18 months into the future. You will partner with first parties, influencers, IP holders, promotional partners, integrated comms, and internal stakeholders to develop effective and broad-reaching marketing campaigns designed to broaden the appeal of our games and drive new players into the ecosystem. Most importantly, you will be the biggest advocate for the games you work on, setting the culture and driving the passion of everyone else on the project.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the global brand strategies that encompass target demographics, positioning, brand objectives and communication timelines
- Create and execute on tactical go to market campaigns to support both product launch and major seasonal updates and DLC
- Write creative briefs, direct agencies (internal and external) and manage activities across every area of the marketing mix (creative assets, digital, PR, media, promotions, partnerships, events, community) leading up to and beyond product launch
- Work with the Business Intelligence and Player Insights team to track KPIs across all marketing activities and adjust plans based on campaign analysis and player response
- Work directly with development to establish key marketing milestones across closed beta, open beta, commercial launch and the live roadmap
- Build strong working relationships with IP holders to ensure a smooth and collaborative partnership; build innovative cross promotional marketing activities that drives IP fan fervor into our games
- Develop and manage an annual brand budget for your products
- Partner with first parties to create new marketing and retail opportunities
Requirements:
- University Degree – masters degree in marketing or business management preferred
- Extensive experience in videogame marketing – some F2P and/or Live Marketing experience a must
- Great communicator with the ability to collaborate across game studios, IP holders, first parties, external agencies and other departments
- The right mix of creativity and analytics – we want someone who can understand the data and use it to create compelling campaigns that drive new users into the game ecosystem
- Extremely comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with daily moment-to-moment interactions– experience working with Slack and/or other team organization tools a plus
- Experience in project management (especially agency management), analysis and the ability to work across multiple teams
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills
- Results oriented, self-motivated
