Global Benefits Manager
The Pokémon Company International is looking for a Global Benefits Manager to support our fun, engaging and growing team. As the Global Benefits Manager you will lead, design, administer and deliver our global benefits strategy. You’ll contribute to decisions and vision in the benefits area including welfare programs, paid time off, unemployment, retirement, service awards, broker and vendor management, and benefit related educational initiatives. You’ll understand and ensure we keep current with regard to global market trends, practices and costs. You’ll administer benefits and deliver successful and efficient operation of the benefits function.
What You’ll Do
- Manage broker and vendors to ensure consistent excellent TPCI experience. Leverage broker and vendors to propose and plan for new benefits. Work with broker and vendors on annual renewals and associated change management.
- Partner with benefits consultant to monitor and ensure compliance with UK, Ireland and US statutory requirements (e.g US compliance with ERISA, review and timely filing of 5500’s, Summary Annual Reports, Summary Plan Descriptions, etc.).
- Responsible for global administration and reconciliation of employee benefits programs such as medical and life insurance, dental, optical, disability and accidental death insurance, and retirement plans globally. Responsible for administration of global service award and recognition plan administration.
- Constantly stay on top of research, designing, and evaluating the benefits options offered to employees globally to recommend best in class market practices for high tech and gaming companies. Keep current on market trends and make recommendations to keep our benefits plans positioned market competitively to attract and retain top talent, with a focus on cost containment and value of investment.
- Familiar with and maintain updated knowledge on laws and regulations governing employee benefits including employer tax incentives associated with certain benefits in UK, Ireland and US. Ensure that plans, policies, programs, and procedures are current and compliant globally.
- Establish education and communications for plans, programs, and policies through presentations, handbooks, brochures, and open enrollment materials, keeping employees informed about what’s current and any proposed changes.
- Assists global employees with problem resolution.
- Work with Benefits Specialist to ensure successful and efficient operation of the function.
What You’ll Bring
- Six or more years relevant experience in global benefits for top tech or gaming companies, especially with companies in the US, UK, Canada and Ireland
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Extensive knowledge in global benefits and market leading practices.
- Excellent understanding of global compliance and regulatory requirements including ERISA, HIPAA, 401(k) and Non-qualified deferred compensation plans, health, wellness and income protection plans.
- Experience with broker and vendor selection and interactions, and involvement with negotiation and renewal of service arrangements
- Demonstrated success in managing global projects in a high growth company, experiences in tech and gaming companies known for innovative practices
- Transparent with a high level of integrity and focus on using your experience and creativity to design innovative approaches that help solve business problems
- Customer first mindset with the ability to build trust and improve credibility at all levels of the organization

What to Expect
We offer a professional, fun and creative work environment. While we maintain a good balance between work and life, additional hours may be required at peak times or for specific initiatives. Travel between office locations internationally may be required on occasion, up to 10%.
