The Challenge Ahead
EA is looking for a design-focused Operation Manager to help our team increase our operational excellence. We aim to continuously improve the way we communicate and work within Design, and with the rest of the organization. From team goal-setting, to on-boarding, to program development for design workshops and communications: this role will have a significant impact on Product Design’s effectiveness and impact at EA.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners, leading and influencing multi-disciplinary teams in order to drive global studios initiatives forward.
- Leads the process of culture creation in coordination with Head of Experience Design and Design leaders
- Own planning and execution for team communications, design all-hands, the design blog, and design sprints and workshops
- Assist in headcount planning, team budgeting and expensing, meeting logistics, and software/tools management
- Assist in design staffing and allocation on design-led product initiatives, and partner with design leadership to plan, prioritize, and present work to the company
- Assist in refining and harmonizing the design process across all of our product pillars
- Drive the creation of case studies and proof points to showcase the capability of the Design function
What You Should Have
- Must have a proven track record of Design Ops / Program Management experience on a product design team, or equivalent experience as a Producer or Executive Producer at a design agency
- Demonstrated program and project management skills—you possess masterful organizational and execution ability to work across studios, businesses, products, and disciplines.
- Solid understanding of product design teams and design thinking process
- Adept at building lasting, high-quality working relationships with multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated experience developing OKRs, pipelines for sharing and critiquing design work, and executive design reviews
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Through trial and error we've learned that people don't apply unless we provide a guideline.
