About our team:

Within PlayStation's Global Sales and Business Operations Group, the Direct to Consumer team brings together diverse talent from around the world, with a passion for engaging PlayStation gamers with relevant and entertaining content and products. This area of PlayStation has seen significant growth in recent years to become a key revenue contributor and continues to evolve rapidly towards new business models alongside dynamic changes in the Games industry. In September 2019, PlayStation launched PlayStation Direct, our first direct to consumer hardware and peripherals business. We are currently in the US with a European launch planned.

Reporting to our Director of Geo Expansion and Growth Programs and geo expansion, the Geo Expansion and Growth Programs Manager will partner closely with the channel sales teams to fill gaps in markets, uncover opportunities and drive overall PlayStation growth globally through geo expansion as well as other growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will flex easily from strategy to detailed execution, will be a self starter and will collaborate effectively across the organization.

What you'll be doing:

Geo expansion and new initiatives strategy and planning:

Contribute to market prioritization and entry strategy with strong analytics. Acquire an in-depth understanding of market potential and complexity and the key drivers of success in each market and work across PlayStation to prioritize and sequence new digital markets. Research local customer requirements, markets, competitors, and environments. You will influence product development roadmap to ensure unique capabilities needed in each new market. In addition, you may work on developing growth programs within new or existing markets.

Cross Functional Leadership:

Act as key business lead throughout requirements definition, development, user acceptance testing and launch. Coordinate cross-departmentally with Program Management, Conversion and Experience teams, Finance, Operations, Marketing and Customer Support to ensure organized launches, well-managed relationships, and successful tracking of revenue performance for each new territory. Generate and manage relationships with critical local partners.

Operational Excellence:

Develop a playbook for market selection, launch, and post launch management for country launches, to ensure a consistent and repeatable process. Align critical partners, and communicate clear expectations. Identify and resolve any resource gaps for a successful launch and ongoing business operations. Establish goals, plans, and metrics. Forecast and monitor outcomes for reporting to leadership.
