General Manager, LATAMSummary
The General Manager (GM), LATAM role leads the LATAM Regional Leadership Team across the sales, finance, service, and commercial functions. This role is responsible for the overall execution of the business strategy which includes people, culture, growth, sustainability, and profit. The GM, LATAM reports directly to the Managing Director of LATAM & EMEA.What you'll do
Strategic Growth
- Accountable for the design and delivery of the LATAM business strategy. This involves working closely with department owners to develop a multi-channel strategy and deliver on initiatives/commitments.
- Proactively target and implement value-enhancing opportunities to drive the business to deliver on its commitments. This includes proactive "risk & opportunity" management to support growth objectives.
- Responsible for superior execution and monitoring of all sales and marketing activity
- Creation of compelling business cases which deliver long-term profitability and growth.
- Retain and increase Aristocrat's overall market share in the LATAM region.
Strategic Business Partnership (within Aristocrat group)
- Business partnering within the Aristocrat group to ensure global linkage between product and development teams to ensure superior strategic execution. These cross-divisional partnerships are paramount to success.
- Develop, drive and influence all core Directors and support partners across Finance, Operations, Compliance and People & Culture to align to LATAM success.
Superior Sales & Marketing execution
- Maximize sales and profit contribution with the aim of achieving or exceeding pre-determined profit and asset targets.
- Ensure superior execution of defined product strategy within markets to optimize the acquisition and retention of customers.
- Preparing and presenting long term financial forecasts in relation to developing future strategies.
- Structuring commercial deals to ensure profitability and mutual success.
- Pro-actively target and implement value-enhancing opportunities to drive the business to deliver on its commitments. This includes active "risk & opportunity" management to close the GAP between current and required performance.
- Maintain, develop and build effective customer relationships ensuring the implementation of effective strategies aimed at maximizing customer satisfaction.
Governance, Systems & Reporting
- Ensure compliance to regulatory/legal changes within the LATAM business.
- Project management and leadership of critical on-going projects to support benefit of the business.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the end-to-end business model
- Providing analysis and guidance regarding accounts and financial reports within the consolidated for the LATAM business.
- Report regularly to Executive management on overall business and operational performance
- Ensure the business operates within budgetary levels of expense control.
- Ensure full implementation and compliance with overall company policy, code of conduct and procedures.
- Successfully deliver concepts into solutions within the LATAM region.
Innovation
- Responsible for delivering successful LATAM alternative business models leveraging data, analytics and technology.
- Provide proactive input, guidance, and advice to other functions on initiatives and programs which would help promote and improve overall business performance.
- Leverage internal analytics tools and reporting for business decision-making.
People & Organization
- Lead with a People first focus, facilitating an environment of Safe to Speak Up and recognition.
- Champions Diversity and Inclusion in the regions focusing on cultural sensitivities, awareness, and development.
- Develop a positive team culture that delivers "high” performance, high support" and actively manages our talent (including succession planning, talent management, performance management, objective setting).
- Define performance management expectations across the business to ensure accurate evaluation, coaching and support to achieve team objectives.
- Build effective working relationships with local regulator and gaming association bodies.
Occupational Health & Safety (EHS) and Compliance
- Ensures themselves and colleagues abide by EHS regulations for their work site.
- Participates & engages in all elements of the Aristocrat Due Diligence, compliance, and governance standards.
What we're looking for
Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience working at a senior General Management or Vice President level preferably within the Gaming Industry.
- Experience managing a profitable P&L
- Strategic thinking ability which supports a long-term 3-5 year vision being achieved
- Strong customer and financial analytical skills and the ability to leverage them effectively to maximize business partnerships.
- Leadership which can be described as an authentic and inspiring style which empowers and develops the team to be successful.
- Strong project management/program management skills
- Strong understanding of the industrial and regulatory requirements
- Significant problem analysis and resolution experience at both a strategic and functional level
- A strong level of resilience and understanding for diverse teams and customers.
- Strong customer ethos and the ability to channel insight into profitable deliverables.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across
- multiple regions.
