General Manager, Korea & Japan

Tilting Point’s Business Lead in Asia will be based in Korea, and work closely with the different teams in the company’s offices (NYC HQ, Boston, Barcelona, Kiev) to realize and execute strategic initiatives for the company in the following areas:
- Overseeing / Growing the Asian Branch of Tilting Point
- East to West Publishing
- User Acquisition funding deals
- Sub-licensing / co-publishing Tilting Point’s portfolio games in Korea, Japan, and other Asian countries
This is a General Manager position with a competitive base salary + generous success-based bonuses. The General Manager will oversee the Korea office as a separate business unit with revenue goals and a growth trajectory.
Your Future at Tilting Point
- Develop the company’s strategy in Korea, Japan and other Asian territories.
- Manage all relationships with strategic and industry-leading partners in Korea and Japan.
- Manage a team in Korea to support the growth of the local business.
- Attend in-person meetings and relevant events / conferences on behalf of Tilting Point (travel cost will be covered by the company).
- Develop presentations and other localized materials in support of business development initiatives, including high-quality pitches to game developers, publishers, agencies or investors.
- Initiate, evaluate and prioritize potential outreach targets for pitch opportunities that have clear impact on the company’s bottom line revenue.
- Report back on all active partnership and investment opportunities, coordinate with BD and company’s leadership at different stages.
- Review materials submitted from prospective partners and present findings to the company’s top management.
- Work with our legal and Business Development leadership to prepare, review and help execute contracts or amendments to assist all efforts.
Your XP & Skills
- Prior relationships and extensive network with Strategic Partners such as: platforms, brands, developers, publishers etc.
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in partner management, account management, product marketing or sales related role in the gaming.
- Energetic self-starter with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a love for problem solving.
- Fluency in Korean and English.
- Excellent written & verbal communication, and creative instincts, to build and deliver presentations.
- Detail-oriented, extremely organized, and comfortable juggling many tasks at once.
- Ability to learn fast, and adapt in a high-growth, fast paced start-up environment
- Hyper-communicative, persuasive and effective working across many teams /departments and different cultures.
- Passionate about working in the gaming industry and in a multi-cultural environment. Experience in mobile and online gaming. Projecting confidence and trust.
Location: Korea
